UP Snowmobile trip Day Two -- Today we decided Chris was broken in, so we
were going to give him (and us) a little more of a challenge. Well, maybe
we over did it. We had several big stucks and lots of digging out.
The day ended with the "Mother of all Stucks". Thanks to a group of 5 guys
from Madison, WI who helped us, we were able to get the sleds out.

Jon got stuck in a muck hole that was hidden under about 3 feet of snow |

We finally got out, but the muck in the hole stunk. |

We turned off the power line and headed down a small forest trail. |

This gives an idea of how deep the snow was...had to be 5 feet |

The "Mother of all Stucks" |

As we got further down the forest road, the snow got deeper and deeper and the road had huge ruts under the snow. We all got stuck in what had to be 6 - 7 feet of snow. This is Jon's stuck sled. |

Here is Dave's stuck. The snow bank in the background gives some perspective of the snow depth. |

We honestly weren't sure if we could get these out. Fortunately there was another group of 5 guys behind us who helped...they saved us from possibly having to walk out and leave our sleds. |
