2007 UP Trip Day 1 -- On Friday we made the loop from Houghton ==> Copper Harbor ==> Gay ==> Lake Linden ==> Houghton.  This is loop is about 160 miles, or so.  The scenery approaching Copper Harbor is spectacular from the top of Brockway Mountain.  The snow was a little thin in places.

The biggest adventure of the trip was Trail 133 to Gay.  The trail had a hand-written sign that said something like "Trail closed -- Logging".  We thought it would still be passable so ignored the sign.  Boy were we wrong...about 20 miles down there was a huge barricade across the trail that was bull-dozed there to block snowmobiles from entering the logging area.  Fortunately Reid and Chris found a spot that we could sneak our sled through...barely.
