January 2007 -- The Wilson's and Roesch's went to Cabo for our annual escape from Chicago winter in January.  We were there for 2 weeks!  Unfortunately the weather wasn't very good for the first 10 days.  Fortunately the last few days were sunny and warm...unfortunately for the Roesch's, they had already gone home.  This trip really kicked off my 6 month Leave of Absence from work.

We stayed at Villa La Estancia, which is walking distance from Cabo San Lucas.  Of course we spent a lot of time hanging out at the beach and pool.  Beach and Pool Pictures (click)

We also made it into town a lot.  One day we rented a car and drove to a smaller town north of Cabo,  Todos Santos, which was a lot of fun.  Town Pictures (click)

We were in Cabo to watch both of the Bears NFC playoff games.  What a blast.  We watched at Caliente Casino Real with many other Bears fans (and a few Seattle and New Orleans as well).  Bears Playoff Pictures (click)

One highlight of the entire trip was a new friend we made -- Señor Stapler.  Jane desperately wanted to buy a stapler at Office Depot.  Initially Dave was against the idea, but eventually agreed.  We were so glad he did.  Señor Stapler became our good friend and constant companion.  Señor Stapler Pictures (click)
