Day 4

Our plan today was to drive all the way into Yellowstone and camp there.  On the way, we stopped in Cody, WY to find out about trout fishing in Yellowstone.  The guys in the fly shop suggested we camp instead at a campground outside of Yellowstone and fish a small river there...they said the Brook Trout fishing would be good.  Well, we did that and did catch a few Brook Trout, but you'll see from the picture how small they were.  Actually that picture is the smallest one, but they were still pretty small.  The guys at the fly shop also warned us about Grizzly Bears in the area we would be fishing and camping.  We bought some bear pepper spray and had bear bells, but wading through this small stream and being (again) the only ones camping in the campground, we felt like bear-bait the entire time.

Dave had all the gear...except waders! And the water was COLD.
